Our Gelato


 

Gelato is lighter (and healthier) than traditional ice cream because it is made with milk instead of cream. Generally, gelato contains 4-8% butterfat comparing to 10% to 18% butterfat in ice cream. Gelato is typically made with fresh fruit or other ingredients such as chocolate (pure chocolate, flakes, chips, candies, truffles, etc.), nuts, small confections or cookies, or Biscuits.  Some flavors of gelato are made with fresh fruits and water only with no dairy ingredients.  These gelatos are called sorbetto which originated from the hotter parts of Southern Italy and Sicily.
